Anime Review: Blood+

I am bored, so time to review on of my favourite animes ever!! Blood Plus!! *fan girl moment*

Trust me, I can never get too much of Blood+. A while back I did post a link to the Grand Theme for the anime. Whenever I listen to it, I want to go around with my Bokun and pretend I'm swinging around a katana!
Short summery and unlike Wiki, I will not spoil it.
Basically follows the story of Saya, your average fifteen year old girl with amnesia. She lives with her father and two brothers, Riku and Kai. Everything is seemingly normal until a monster attacks her at school while she's sneaking in after dark to get her track shoes. She gets saved by a (rather good-looking) guy with a cello case. His name is Hagi (let the fangirl squealing begin) and he tells her to fight it after he forces her to drink his blood.
I shall only describe that far in it so I don't ruin much of it (unlike Wikipedia).
It's about 52 episodes long and the manga is only around 10 chapters. Both take a completely different turn than the other, but to avoid needing more than two boxes of tissues, watch the anime first. Saves you a lot of crying.
As you can probably tell, there is a bit of heartbreak in the anime (more than the manga). But the emotion is perfectly balanced though. It's not just the balanced emotion. The fighting scenes are the best I have ever seen! Adrenaline rush for nearly every episode with a fight! And the music that goes with it.... Absolutely epic. Especially the Grand Theme. Works with anything, even trying to relearn how to inline skate.
Recomendation:
I give the anime an A-, only due to the fact I cried too much the first time. The manga get's a B, since the different turn is really nice, but it doesn't have any of the extras like the Schiff. Extras are nice.
Can both girls and guys watch it?:
Yes. As Bridget says, abso-freaking-lutely. Fighting scene are good for guys, as the tender scenes with Hagi and Saya are great for girls. And for my fellow Blood+ fan, Saya and Solomon.
What about Dubbed vs Subbed?:
I personally like the English voices that were given to the characters. They work pretty well and the first few episodes I saw were dubbed. I am biased though because I will always choose sub for this. It makes much more sense and fits better with some characters. There are English dubbed though, so lazy people, or slow readers, are good.

Hope you like this review! Any questions, the comments below will almost always be answered! Ja Matta!
