Well I think I told you about my little geisha doll I bought a while back from my favorite antique store. Well after watching anime and researching names I have found the answer. Since I couldn't decide between the two names I decided to use both since she won't have a last name. I call her Otoha-chan!
Hayami means rare and unusually beauty. She is quite a rare doll and very beautiful.
Otoha has so many meanings I'm just copying it from Wikipedia. It all depends on the kanji used.
乙羽, "maiden, feathers"
乙葉, "maiden, leaf"
音羽, "sound, feathers"
音葉, "sound, leaf"
I wish my real name had such a pretty meaning. ~Sigh~ The Japanese get all the awesome names. I love the name Usagi more! It's much cuter! Just like Otoha-chan! I can't wait to show her to all my friends in anime club and at school!
