Best Weekend Ever!!!!!! With Lots of Pictures!!!

I've been really getting behind with posts and there is a very good reason for that. Last Saturday, two days ago, was my Prom!!!!! So basically, Friday and all of Saturday was devoted to getting me ready (which is no small task with only a few bucks to spend and everything).
Friday, was spent on planning out the last details was our transportation since there was a lack of communication somewhere in the whole mess that was planning. So after missing my bus, I found Freshman, who had promised to do my hair. But she had forgotten her cutting scissors. So after promising to come around 12:30 to one, I went to go buy my mask (it was supposed to be a Masquerade Ball). Found one and spent the rest of the day trying to glue a stick on it (rules said it had to be hand-held. Reason why I couldn't use the one I made earlier).
Saturday, I woke up, realized I had forgotten to get a pair of shoes to match my dress. After washing my hair at noon, I spent the time waiting for Freshman by messaging Shortie and seeing if she had a pair I could borrow. That led to me running the three blocks down to her house with still wet hair to try on the few pairs she found. Then I ran/jogged back with an emergency pair in hand (since they didn't quite match the dress).
I had later found a pair of shoes kinda close to fitting, but at least they were black and closed toed. I had to put a napkin at the toe of each one so I could walk without them falling off.
Freshman finally came at around 3 with her basket of hair products in tow (just as I had finished making my lunch[which didn't burn or boil over!]). She trimmed my mass of hair a few inches and cut my bangs on either side of my face to equal lengths and equal amount of hair. She made me slip into my oh-so-epic-dress and started on the french braid bun idea from Hana Yori Dango (Boys over Flowers). Now we had done a practice run earlier than month in International Club. This was done in ten minutes with only two bobby pins, give her credit.
Now, My hair is really long (as you might be able to see in picture to the right) so it is really a pain in the ass to do anything to it. No other way to put it. So after two failed tries she finally got the bloody thing braided. It had changed from one braid to two french braids becoming one. She took a break from it to curl the bangs. Right before she started, she told me she had never used a curler before...Way to boost my confidence in her. She only barely burnt me twice, which is good for a novice.
Back to the bun we went. After twisting the braid in every which way and curling it around itself, then came the really painful part. Hair Pins. *cue dramatic music* Since it kept unraveling, she started getting angry at the bun. Angry Freshman and bobby pins do not mix. Whenever the pins had to be stuck in the bun to keep it on my head, the pins clawed against my head. It felt like my scalp was being stabbed with a knife or something.
Twenty pins later, it finally held together. I made her use more hairspray on my bun then we used on the curls on the bangs.
Hey look, another picture of me! And ya still can't tell who I am! Or who Freshman is! Haha! (I didn't plan that, I was just turning so she could get the side)
So she left at 5, leaving me little time to do make-up (I was supposed to meet the bus at the park nearby at around 5:20 or so). This left me little time to do any kind of make-up. Thank god I was in a play. Ya learn how to put on make-up really fast. Even though a year had past, I could still do a pretty basic smokey eye with my cheap make-up and mascara (which used to be a pain) was so simple now. I had just gotten on the lipstick and blush when the door bell rang. Ishy was slightly early. Rushing to put the last bits of make-up, I was finally ready with time to spare till Spain arrived.
Part 2 will be out in a few more minutes. Ciao till then!
