My Characters! Woo!

So all these pictures are mostly just for the costumes because there weren't a lot of model choices. And I also had to imagine how they would look as adults because of the models. I'll try not to give too much of the plot away but also give good details on the characters on their costumes.
Note: I use the term pre-modern here lightly. For me, pre-modern is before cars, steam engine, guns are still not used often and jam easily, medicine is various herbs, and clothing is much cooler than today. I would say just around the time way before Industrial Revolution in Britain. Maybe....before the Enlightenment (Woo History). Wow, I forgot about this post for a few hours...Sorry.

This is Lisia (Always Travelling Series: Book 2 and 4: Revenge
and War At Sea) At first you only see her as a child but in book 4
she is eighteen.
Lisia has the power of controlling water, so lots of blue tones. The Always Travelling Series is set in a fantasy world in pre-modern times, so no real modern stuff like jeans or t-shirts, but I allow the girls to wear pants and such.
Anyway, Lisia in the first book runs around a lot so a long skirt is easy to move around in, and a blouse with a vest is pretty normal garb (even seen in Book 1). She wears to hat to hide who she is sometimes and the shoes would normally be boots but these are close enough. Every pre-modern heroine needs a bag to hold *cough cough* weapons *cough cough* and other essentials. Notebook in hand and her mother's necklace and she is perfect.
Note: Lisia has black hair and one grey and one brown eye. Her skin is also very fair.

Really bad quality. But this is Marina (Always Travelling Series:
Book 2 and 4: Revenge and War at Sea, In case you forgot). She
is seen as child at first and in Book 4 she doesn't appear as often.
So this is Marina! Also has power to control water and why wouldn't she? Marina is Lisia's unborn twin (Yes, I know I used a different model). As a spirit, Marina ages herself to look like how she would if she had lived. She likes to float above Lisia and bug her.
Outfit: As a spirit, normally I imagined her with a flowing white skirt and shirt, but again, the website has limits. So flow-y skirt (blue shade) and a flow-y shirt. I though the shirt is too modern but it kinda works with the skirt. Left arm (our right) has same bracelet at Lisia but a different bracelet on the right and her own anklet (Spirits don't wear shoes). Reading book and other papers she carries as a spirit and good.
Note: Marina has black hair and also has two colored eyes, but opposite as Lisia. Fair skinned as well.

This is Renna (Academic Studies/Mischief). Seen as a
teenager about twelve to fourteen, I'm too lazy to go find the
paper to double check. She is the main character.
Renna's story is set in the same world as Always Travelling but starts in different country and you see a whole different social circle. She is basically a scholar and is one of the few new females students in a once all male academy.
This is not the outfit she wears in school but her formal wear/musician garb. Yes, she does play the violin and very beautifully in fact. The dress is made of a heavy silk for winter but still easy to move around in when playing. The belt is used to separate the single piece and I wanted a belt (There were about 1000 different belts on the site). Boots were hard because of the slit up the side, so black and long. Renna doesn't like showing skin, as she was a noble. A nice cape from her sister to keep her warm and her violin at her side with her music notes.
Note: Renna has medium length, light brown hair. I just went with this model cause the way she ties back her hair.

I'll be making a part two soon. I'm just losing focus. Ciao for now.

Wow really?

So a website that Survivorgrrrl (Now called JuneDecember) uses to make all the pictures for her fashion blog is shutting down so I decided it might be fun to dress up some of my characters for newer ideas. I was creating Medusa, a character whom I love to bits because she is awesome, when I realized I forgot what I would always imagine her in. I tried to bring all the character ideas back into my head but they kinda all vanished!
Why is that?! I now Realized I never really imagined out the costumes for characters unless it is a short story or the dress in described in the story. So in FDTR, where the story is more modern and I never really thought about the outfits past the school uniform, everything just vanished!.....*sigh* I really hate my mind sometimes...I'll try to at least bring back Medusa and the school uniforms back. Please hold while I smack my head.
Pictures will be up shortly.
Oh and another thing. When I click the jeans button, I'm looking for normal, comfy to wear jeans. Not skinny jeans, or ripped jeans, or jeans that had God-knows-what happen to them. Just normal jeans. Is that too much to ask? Didn't think so!

~Nehhhhhhh~ Sakura-con envy!!!!!!

Because of me being in my very lethargic state lately, I've been surfing the internet much more than normal because I'm getting far more bored with thing. So while looking through the Sakura-con website (for the....100th time), I found out about the Masquerade Ball. Cue me squealing in joy. (New fact about me: I love masquerade balls and big fuffy [yes spelled correctly. Fuffy.] dresses from the Victorian age and beyond). So after discovering oil paints are the new bane of the world, I'll be making a new mask. This time: With acrylics!! I'm so glad I have artist friends who trust me enough that they let me borrow paints at the drop of a hat.
I'm a little over halfway to my Sakura-con goal money thanks to Christmas presents (I know you're reading this and you know who you are). My sis did some basic math a few days ago while waiting outside Barnes and Nobles and said that all together (with the price Spain gave me for hotel and ticket) so I know how much I need with food costs and spending money.
So I found more manga so now I leave ya. And by the by, if anyone who is reading this is also heading to Sakura-con, you get extra points if you can find me when I'm over there!

Ehhhhh Post

I was trying to work on this one story I had this weird idea for. Since I had to look for guy names (which I hate since it's hard finding the right one) I decided to go with Latin or Roman name. Here is what went through my mind as a writer.
Don't like that name...Why do they all sound girly to me.. Don't like that one, or that one....*scrolls randomly down half the page* *sigh* what is with all these names?.....Wonder how many pages there are? *Looks at bottom at page* Six pages? *Audible groan* Why did I pick this one? *Head falls hard on desk* Ow!!!
Now I have a headache on top of getting over my weird cold thingy. Oh yeah, that's why I haven't made many posts lately. I haven't been able to talk thanks to Spain's weird tea thing. I don't believe I actually posted the story of how I got sick yet...Oh well, better do that tomorrow.

I'm never going to get this song recorded, Am I?

Let's have story-time today, shall we? This happened not even half an hour ago. (When I started typing this)
So for the final in Aerobics, we need to have our own workout for a song. My partners and I decided to work with Take Off by 2PM. For those who don't know 2PM (And I'm sure a lot of you don't), they're a Korean band and Take Off is their Japanese debut. I was in charge of recording the song and putting it on my iPod.
Since I wasn't at home all weekend, today is the last day for me to record it. Of course, I forget my key and was walking around the home looking for an open window. After my third time around the house (and after stepping in either dog or cat crap, I couldn't tell which it was) mom finally came home. After explaining the concept of "The iPod can hear your if you are baking downstairs" with her, she went into her room to wash up first.
Take one heard me rustling and almost falling off my chair barely a minute into the song so I went to setup for take two when the garage door slammed shut (office right above said garage door. And garage door means the  back door). I heard my sis stomp up the stairs and throw her jacket to the side. After I talked down "Aww. I was recording a song!" I found out my sis is not in a good mood. She yelled at me, then went over to my mom, and after not getting all the sympathy she wanted, yelled at her, went up to where I was and complained to me (I learned long ago to not respond when she's complaining cause she yells at ya either way) about how she is always covering for other people and no one ever covers for her even when she's sick, how she has to work 12 hours, and how much she hates this job.
So it's now been about 5 hours and I have finally gotten the song recorded. Had to wait for sis to go to the job she loves of so much!

On another note, I have gotten sick. Yay! It happened this weekend as I had to go to 2 birthday parties right after the other. Friday - Saturday then Saturday - Sunday. Last time I am ever doing that again. I miss my bed too much. So Saturday, my throat started to get a little sore near the evening. I asked Spain if she had some tea that I could drink since it helps my throat a lot. She had this organic medicine-like tea made for sore throats. It took ten minutes to steep! So after an agonizing 10 minutes of waiting for this deliciously smelling tea, I took the first few sips. It was until about the seventh sip when I coughed a bit. Actually a lot. The tea, Delicious as it may be, made my voice disappear for a good 3 hours.
It's still a little iffy now. My voice still sounds hoarse and I can't reach above a certain pitch. Above that pitch, it is either is just air coming out of my mouth or squeaks then dies. I have been bringing tea to school with me everyday now. May not have any left later....Where is that coupon?....
Ciao for now!

Update!!!

Just finished the first layer. I learned that dish soap is my new best friend. I had some weird rustic bread so now I really feel like Da Vinci. Going back to do second layer now.

I made a mask! And A Huge Long story behind it!

Yes I did. It was evil.
Monday I went with Spain over to her house. Her birthday party is on Saturday and it's a Masquerade Massacre. Think life sized Clue. So both of us decided to make our own masks using this weird plaster stuff and other stuff. I think it was called Gesso.
Anyway, I was the guinea pig to see if the technique actually works. Yay. So first she had to put Vaseline on my face to keep the stuff from sticking (Vaseline is not pleasant! At all!) She decided to put Hetalia on her laptop to keep me from moving too much but I kept laughing at it (Hetalia: Anime show. We cosplay as character from that show). After the (weird evil...really evil) Vaseline covered all around my eyes, nose, and hair (!) she got all the plaster wrapping stuff. She had cut out the shapes earlier and now just had to dunk it in water then attach it to my face. Sounds easy and fun, right?.........Don't even.
It was messy and I had plaster dripping all over my jeans and shirt. It felt so weird on my face and I couldn't smile or laugh (Please remember, Hetalia is on and it is one of the funniest anime's I've ever seen). While Spain was putting on the second layer, my character appeared in the anime and started insulting everybody. Because of that she giggled and some of the plaster water dripped in my eye.
Luckily, there was a tissue box behind my backpack. After insulting Spain, I kept the tissue to save my jeans from anymore damage. After the third layer and ten minutes for it to dry, we slowly tried peeling the mask off my face. It took a few eyelashes and a hair with it.
Now yesterday, in anime club, Spain brought her mask and my own (she kept it safe) and other materials since we had to smooth out the masks. I shall spare most of the process cause I couldn't do it that well and Spain had to do it for me. Finished product? A blank mask ready for our painting. Well her painting and my attempt at painting later today.
Taking the mask home from school was an adventure too. Since it still had to dry and it was 30 degree outside. I had to hold it in my hand while walking home which takes about forty minutes. I walk slowly, okay? No judging. But I was spared from frostbite when Mary (AKA Squirrel-obsessed-weirdo-soon-to-take-over-the-world-with-her-army-of-squirrels-and-llamas), who feels no cold at all, carried it for me until we saw my mom driving and flagged her down for a ride.
Story is not over yet.
Since I now needed to paint my mask, I realized I had only watercolours and Oil Paints. Watercolours are out with masks and Oil is evil to remove (My colour tray is still stained after soaking everyday for a year), so I asked artistic friend, Shortie, for help. She said "Yeah I have some. Come over after your club since I'll be back from the barn by then and I'll let you borrow them."
I walked home again (this time it took 55 minutes) and walked down to Shortie's house. She wasn't there yet but since her brother knew me, I was let it. After checking her room quickly I found only the metallic silver, at which that point, she arrived.
I asked her about the paints and she said "Oh yeah. They were all dried up. I only found that one."
Walking back home in complete darkness now with only one colour as my spoils, I defrosted here at my desk and now I need to figure out how to paint with Oil colours and finish it before Saturday.
Did I mention that I have another friend's party tomorrow to Saturday, then a few hours till Spain's party.
Now this is a really long post. I think the longest yet! So Ciao. I need to hunt food and work on the mask now.

Another before going to sleep

I decided to try out the new (kinda new) blogger interface again. I still don't like it but I hafta get used to it sometime.
It's kinda better in that all the orange is gone but now it's all gray! Light blue would be a better colour palate.
And that it would actually accept colour and favourite as real words. I like this spelling more.
I suppose I should also start adding labels to these things.....Oh well.
Ciao!

Quick Post before going to sleep

And it's in a different font! So exciting!!
So, I have been making new videos that do have me in them. Now, because I don't want to put them directly on them, I'll tell you how to find them. Both were school assignment and I have two more videos to be made soon just for fun.
To find them:
Go to YouTube
Type in the search-bar "bunny2299" (don't type in the " ")
Look at either the Montesquieu newscast or the Talent Show Spiel.
Both are fun, but I messed up more on the Montesquieu one.

By the by, since I liked the way Enlightenment News sounded, when ever I make videos just for this blog, I'll call them "Enlightenment News Specials"! Catchy, isn't it?
Ciao for now, I hafta go. This font sucks by the way. In the posting thingy where I type all this, it looks huge and is messing me up. Next post will be in Courier Font!
I want better choice of fonts though.
